At Far Corners, we focus on small group, adventure and culturally immersive travel with an emphasis on social development projects (SDPs) that benefit local communities. Whether running through the Rwandan jungle or arriving at your Kyrgyz yurt stay on horseback, we aim to provide authentic and memorable travel experiences with a grassroots touch. 5% of all tour costs go directly towards supporting an in-country SDP that we will visit and see in action as part of our itinerary.

About our Social Development Projects (SDPs)

For our Social Development Projects, we work closely with locals to understand their needs so we can provide the most effective assistance in helping them develop their communities. We aim to support in a way that provides continuity for the locals without building a dependency. This is why many of our projects focus on capacity building and maintenance as well as donation of resources. 

About our founder

Alex Hennock is a lifelong traveler with a passion for the less-visited corners of our planet. Through his travels to 110+ countries he has been touched by the generosity and warmth of the people of these regions, often despite their lack of material wealth. His background in Global Health has driven him to create a travel company with a focus on providing basic necessities in regions that have provided so much for him over the years. Alex is our lead guide and will likely be accompanying you on your chosen tour with Far Corners.
