SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

We have partnered with Ushuaia Eco Pledge, a community-led initiative from the southernmost city in the world, created to help travellers reduce single-use plastic while visiting Tierra del Fuego. Founded by longtime local environmental leaders, the project builds on a decade of grassroots work focused on cleaning and protecting the island’s fragile Patagonian and sub-Antarctic ecosystems.

THE MISSION
eliminate single-use plastic waste from Tierra del Fuego by 2030 and position the island as a global model for responsible tourism.

Far Corners’ Role
By donating 5% of tour income, Far Corners directly supports these actions; funding outreach, educational programs, and tools for local businesses.

Together, Far Corners and Ushuaia Eco Pledge aim to engage thousands of travelers, elevate environmental awareness, and help transform Tierra del Fuego into a sustainable, low-plastic destination.

Choosing Far Corners means your visit actively contributes to protecting one of the planet’s most fragile ecosystems at the gateway to Antarctica.
